Architectural Research Consultants, Incorporated (ARC), in conjunction with W.C. Kruger and Associates, completed a community development plan for Pojoaque Pueblo, which is located between Santa Fe and Los Alamos, New Mexico. The purpose of this project was to provide an overall context for making decisions about land development, to identify goals, concepts and priorities for development, to provide information to guide future planning studies and to create a document that can act as a marketing tool for addressing high-priority development goals.

The scope of work consisted of three phases. Phase 1, an overview, involved collecting base data on natural, manmade and market conditions, to aid in goal identification. Phase 2, Concept Development, identified the range of alternatives available and desirable to the Pueblo, given its constraints, opportunities and community goals. The final phase, a Pueblo Center plan, created a more detailed plan for the Pueblo’s commercial area.
