We are committed to planning for environmental sustainability in public facilities. Sustainable facilities help to reduce taxpayer-supported building operating costs, improve human comfort and health, preserve valuable natural resources, and enrich the environment. We know that sustainability actions are most successful and effective when we incorporate comprehensive sustainability planning at the beginning of the planning process and throughout a project. ARC also works with school districts and communities to measure and plan to improve energy performance of facilities by using carbon calculators and other energy performance assessment tools.
We recently prepared sustainability plans for UNM Valencia and Gallup campuses, San Juan College, and Santa Fe Community College, and a sustainability transition strategy for the Albuquerque Public Schools' Capital Master Plan office.
